Helmet Hair Loss Cause and Treatment
A gradual hair loss condition called traction alopecia can be caused due to wearing compressive safety helmets such as motorcycle helmets, cycle helmets, ski and snowboarding helmets. Wearing such helmets frequently and / or for sustained durations will increase the likelihood of helmet related hair loss.
Traction alopecia is caused due to the lining of a helmet putting pressure on and/or rubbing on a specific area of the scalp - such as the crown on the top or hair at the sides of the head.
Over time and with continued use of compressive safety head gear, helmet related hair loss is likely to worsen and result in patches of baldness in localised areas.
See how the lining of the helmet can cause hair loss / traction alopecia in part 3 of the animation below.

Menthogen for Hair Loss
Traction Alopecia
In traction alopecia the hair is gradually lost in localised areas of the scalp due to constant rubbing and tugging of the hair and its follicles; this is why tightly fitted helmets so often cause the problem of hair loss. Regular use of Menthogen encourages frequent fresh blood supply to the localised area helping to regrow hair quicker than would otherwise be experienced.
Alopecia Areata
In Alopecia Areata (Patchy hair loss) Menthogen stimulates the scalp. This produces optimum conditions for active hair growth. Although the rate of loss will slow down quickly in most cases it takes longer for the quality of the hair to improve.
